The IK Multimedia ARC ON·EAR is a portable, standalone DAC and headphone amplifier built to correct your headphones’ frequency response and emulate the experience of mixing on a professional control room. It lets you load up to 5 custom calibration profiles, chosen from a database of over 250 headphone models, so you can mix with confidence no matter which cans you're using. At its core is a 32-bit ESS Sabre converter and ultra-low distortion output stage, delivering clear, high-resolution sound. The device supports digital input via USB-C and analog input via 3.5 mm jack, while output is on a 6.3 mm headphone connection. It’s powered by a rechargeable lithium battery for up to 4 hours of use, making it ideal for mobile workflows. Controls on the unit include preset selection, monitor-model toggling, a function button (for dim/mute/A-B), and a large analog volume dial. With the included control software, you can use 3-band EQ, crossfeed, and virtual speakers to simulate different listening environments — from studio monitors to smartphone speakers.
