Nektar Panorama CS12 Channel Strip and DAW Plug-in Controller
Channel Strip DAW and Plug-in Controller for Apple Logic Pro with Motorized Fader, 12 x 360º Assignable Pots, 26 x Transport/DAW Function Button, Full-color Display, and USB-C Port
For all the creative limitations that working within a DAW transcends, this endless virtual accessibility is a double-edged sword, inviting fatigue and frustration through the inability to get hands-on with your sound. The minds at Nektar had felt their workflow experiences with Apple Logic Pro were hampered by this lack of access, which led to the creation of the Panorama CS12 channel strip. This completely customizable DAW plug-in controller grants dynamic, hands-on control over your Apple Logic Pro experience, streamlining your workflow with a slew of RGB LED-backlit transport controls, rotary encoders, and soft switches. Logic Pro producers are thoroughly smitten with the depth of the Panorama CS12’s accommodation, supplying detailed control of Logic Pro’s insert plug-ins, as well as a selection of third-party tools from Waves, UAD, and FabFilter, to name a few. One-press assignment makes mapping a breeze, whether that means automation functions, channel sends, or virtually any other parameter within your Logic Pro session. In addition to its robust yet malleable functionalities, the Panorama CS12 features a Fine mode that allows for unprecedented resolution with the 360-degree rotary knobs, offering control up to 10 times standard resolution — and industry-first DAW controller function.
Note: The Panorama CS12 was designed for specific use with Apple Logic Pro (10.8 or higher) and Logic Pro insert plug-ins, with additional pre-mapping support for select third-party plug-ins.
Across its 26 transport and DAW controls, dozen 360-degree rotary pots, motorized fader, four soft switches, and 16 plug-in activation buttons, the Panorama CS12 expertly weaves customization with satisfying tactility. Nektar developed the CS12 from scratch by utilizing Apple’s Logic Pro’s control surface API, guaranteeing seamless integration with the DAW so you can seize your sound. Backlit with RGB LEDs, control points can be color coded to mirror the visual fluency of your in-DAW workflow, with comprehensive attenuation that lets you get as granular as you need with insert plug-ins and their parameters. Moreover, the 100-millimeter motorized fader can be assigned to any parameter for flexible automation recall or performance opportunities. With up to 12 sends per channel capable of being controlled and flexible fader and panning behaviors, the Panorama CS12 becomes a one-stop powerhouse for malleable studio magic.
In crafting the Panorama CS12, Nektar wasn’t content to merely streamline your Apple Logic Pro experience with firsthand tools for its native functions. They’ve included a slew of additional options to expand how you interface with Logic Pro via deep editing and connectivity features. Versatile adjustments for Logic Pro’s automation tools, like write, latch, read, and more, can be controlled with the Panorama CS12, in addition to offering two distinct automation profiles: Auto-Touch and Single-Point. With Auto-Touch, you can write and record automation in real time, but only once a parameter is touched. Meanwhile, Single-Point lets you craft automation options from designated points along your session’s timeline, locking in edits without compromising other parts of your project. Plus, Nektar opted to include a TRS footswitch socket that can be used with a Y-splitter cable (not included) to accommodate up to two simultaneous footswitches, greatly expanding your creative tactility.
